CRC 1160 scientist appointed as new President of the German Society for Gene Therapy

Prof. Dr. Toni Cathomen, principal investigator in the CRC 1160 (A07), was appointed President of the German Society for Gene Therapy (DG-GT e.V.) for a term of two years at the beginning of January 2021. The DG-GT e.V. is an association of physicians and scientists who deal with questions of experimental and clinical gene therapy, including the underlying platform technologies, the clinical application of cell and gene therapies as well as ethical and regulatory aspects.
